As we look ahead to the 2026–27 school year, we’re getting an early start on building our PAC Executive & Member-at-Large team — and we’d love to have you involved!

Serving on the PAC Executive is a wonderful way to connect with other families, support our teachers & staff, and help shape programs and initiatives that benefit Lord Byng students.

Staff Appreciation Lunch: 

Thank-you to all the parents & guardians who donated.

On behalf of the Lord Byng PAC, we extend our sincere gratitude to all parents and guardians who contributed to the 2026 Staff Appreciation Lunch. Through your generous donations of food, gifts, and e-transfers — as well as the time given by our PAC volunteers — this year’s event was a tremendous success. We received more than 60 delicious meal contributions, approximately 70 gifts for the lucky draw, and over 120 e-transferred financial donations! 

 

The lunch brought together teachers, counsellors, office and custodial staff for a celebratory meal, a lucky draw, and a hand-written thank-you (including a small gift card) for every member of the staff. Packed lunches were prepared for those unable to attend. The response from our Lord Byng staff was one of genuine appreciation for the festive recognition of their hard work and dedication.

 

Parents & Guardians, thanks to your collective generosity, donations exceeded our expectations. A modest surplus will be held in reserve to support next year’s event.

 

We wish all of our Lord Byng Secondary families a wonderful summer holiday. We look forward to seeing you at the next parent & guardian coffee time, and the first PAC meeting of the new school-year, in September.

We are thrilled to host Terry McBride, CEO of Nettwerk Music and a leader in the Canadian arts world! Terry will share his journey, provide advice to students and parents on pathways to careers in music and production, and provide a closer look at the in's and out's of being a working professional in the field.
