PAC Safety Subcommittee
Lord Byng Safety subcommittee works with the PACs at École Jules Quesnel and Queen Elizabeth Elementary School as the 16th Avenue School Safety Coalition. In spring 2024, the Coalition successfully lobbied the City of Vancouver and Vancouver School Board to make permanent improvements to W. 16th Ave, from Imperial/Discovery to Wallace Street.
Recent improvements to the area include new 'school zone 40km/hr' signs and road markings, and concrete barriers at Wallace and W. 16th to guide pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
